| Q | | What do I do with the extra wires in the wall that are not connected?

| A | | Leave them disconnected but taped off so they do not touch each other or any other wire. If you do not have a "C" wire next time your furnace is serviced, ask the technician to connect one of the extra wires to the "C" (common) connection at the furnace and to the "C" terminal in the thermostat to extend the life of your batteries.
